Passed the CompTIA CASP Exam!

Bear Giles | December 24, 2015

I took and passed my CompTIA CASP exam today!

This is the hardest cert exam I’ve taken and having a good command of the review questions is not enough. Like our favorite part of middle school – algebra word problems – we are given brief scenarios and have to figure out what the question is before we can answer it. This is not always easy!

On top of that the CAS-002 has introduced drag-and-drop and simulated terminal questions. You must take the labs in the study guides seriously – at some point you will find yourself staring at a blank command prompt.

It is not a joke to say that I’ve been studying for this off-and-on for many years and even passed a similar ISC2 exam 18 months ago and I feel like I barely squeaked by on this one. Fortunately in the real world you can ask questions for clarification so I know that I’m actually in pretty good shape.
